Our on-site moulding facility allows to us to create specific solutions that accommodate a wide range of parts and finishes. We produce mouldings at three shore hardness’s which can be utilised to suit each application.
45 Shore A in yellow is the softest moulding we manufacture; it is usually reserved but not limited to glass as sharp edges can cause the moulding to degrade at a much quicker rate. This shore hardness is flexible, but it is best suited to applications which allow it to be supported by a metal insert as it is prone to splitting without one.
65 Shore A in red provides an excellent mixture of flexibility and durability allowing it to be used for a wider range of applications. Its improved durability over 45 Shore A allows it to be cast in more complex forms such as fingers and brush mould, the latter of which is heavily utilized throughout the packaging industry for its versatility.
95 Shore A in orange is our most common hardness, it can be cast with or without inserts to suit several applications. Without an insert, 95 Shore A holds its cast shape well making it useful sheets and edge protection that require good tear and compression properties. Adding an insert to a 95 Shore A moulding allows it to retain its shape under extreme loads allowing us to accommodate some of the heavier parts in the packaging industry. 95 Shore A’s exceptional abrasion resistance makes its suitable for securing sheet and pressed metal parts whose edges have adverse effects on softer locations.
